Plants vs Zombies is an addicting game where the plants in your garden help you survive a zombie attack when you place them in front of the zombies.

Plants vs Zombies is a type of game that could be called a tower action strategy game, in which the goal is to defend a stronghold or home by placing obstacles in front of the enemies. In this game, the enemies are different types of zombies, and the obstacles you place in front of them are different types of fungi and plants from your garden. By placing these plants in front of the zombies, you slow down their march, and ultimately seek to stop them completely before they reach your house.

The house is placed on one side of the screen, and the zombies attack from the opposite side. The field between the outer wall of the house and the zombies is divided into horizontal lanes, where you can plant the different fungi and flowering plants. A plant will stop a zombie in its lane only, and the zombies can only move horizontally, except in cases where a zombie has eaten garlic.

The player starts the game with a number of seed packets, using which he plants different types of plants in the path of the horde of zombies coming his way. When you kill a zombie, you earn either money, which you can use to purchase more seed packets from a neighboring store, or seeds of more types of plants. The different types of plants include peashooters that shoot the zombies, sunflowers that allow you to add more plants, potato plants that block off zombies, cherry bombs that blast off and kill any surrounding zombies, etc.

Initially, you play the game in Adventure mode, but once you have cleared a number of levels in that mode, you can also play the game in survival mode and puzzle mode. Indeed, if you like the game, which you likely will, you can even play it on any of the different platforms, including on Windows, Mac iOS, PlayStation 3, and as app for Android and iPad, among others. This is an interesting game that almost compels you to keep your attention at the game while you are playing it; however, you will enjoy every moment of it too.
